I’ve been busy in event planning mode lately. In addition to two upcoming fundraising events in mid June that I am helping to plan, I am hosting my own party for the parents of my son’s classmates in a couple of weeks. It will be a nice way to celebrate the end of grade one and gear up to summertime. A sort of Spring Fling to end off what was a challenging but rewarding year. I’m planning colourful decor for this soiree with global influences and a bohemian vibe. I’ve ordered yards of this amazing fabric designed by Dana Gibson for Stroheim with a ming vase print for my dining room tablecloth and I am crossing my fingers and toes that it is completed in time. Last week I spotted the quirky crane cupcake stand and elephant candle sticks at Anthropologie and I knew they would be the perfect fit for my concept and I had to have them! Things are really coming together and I can’t wait for the party to start. Here are some of my ideas…

Hope you are all having a great May long weekend!
