Decor Mentor

Two years ago when I began my blog, I also ventured into the wonderful world of social media. I dove right in and set up Facebook and Twitter accounts, not really knowing what would come of it. Since then, I have been constantly amazed at the people I have been able to make friends with and the connections that have been formed. It’s been a fun and wonderful journey. It was initially through Twitter that I met interior design dynamo Lisa Ferguson of Toronto. She is a trailblazer in the arena of social media for my industry. I was completely flattered when she asked me to contribute to Decor Mentor, a new website she was launching to educate consumers and designers alike in a collaborative online community. It sounded exciting – and I told her she could count me in!

Interior designers from Canada, the United States and Australia contribute a monthly article to Decor Mentor featuring their own original work and best tips. There is some incredible information available on Decor Mentor from some fabulously talented designers. It is really worth taking a look! Everything from information on art and accessories to creating a budget for your project is covered.

You can also become a Facebook fan or follow along on Twitter for weekly design tips. I’ve really enjoyed being a part of this exciting website and will keep you updated on my next articles.

Cheers!
