Last month I hit the road to attend the Design Bloggers Conference in Buckhead, Atlanta. As this was my first time to the city, I wanted to make sure I carved out a little time to explore. Here are some of the highlights from the conference and my trip.
The week was jam packed with so many great speakers including Bunny Williams, Alexa Hampton, Brian Patrick Flynn and Nate Berkus. I have to say one of the most exciting moments was when I got to meet Nate, who just so happens to be one of my favorite designers and people (besides Jacqueline and Reena of course). I obviously could not miss out on the photo op (see me smiling ear to ear)!! Overall, I really learned a lot about social media and came away with some exciting ideas for Corea Sotropa Interior Design as we continue to move in to the next chapter of our brand.
My first day included a trip to the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center with a fabulous lunch in the beautiful Duralee showroom. Unfortunately my time there was cut short due to the impending ice storm. After another full day of speakers, it was off to Bjork Studio for a fun party and preview of the Perspective New York Sunbrella Vignettes. My personal favorite being the Rock and Roll Easter Bunny designed by Brian Patrick Flynn. The third day included some more great topics and I especially loved Stacy Kunstel and her talk on styling interiors for photography and capturing those special moments in the details. We finished out the evening at The Pirch, which is an absolutely stunning kitchen and bath
showroom experience. I was especially smitten with this turquoise La Cornue range. On my final day, I took the afternoon to explore the wonderful Miami Circle District, an eclectic mix of antiques, rugs, tile and furniture showrooms.
