Talk about making the best out of a bad situation….
When one of our clients experienced a major plumbing leak, she quickly contacted us for help to renovate her flooded bathroom. We had already helped reno the majority of the home, so we were eager to get our hands on the master ensuite.
The original space was a bit dated and dark:
Taking design inspiration from a gorgeous herringbone tile, we wanted the new area to be light, clean, elegant, and feminine.
We chose to add mirrors to the vanity doors to create the illusion of a larger space. Mirrored cabinetry add a touch of sparkle, reflect light, and provide a chic way to check out your footwear on your way out the door!
We installed an elegant clawfoot cast iron tub, complete with nickel-plated fixtures. What a luxurious way to soak away the troubles of the day!
The spa-like shower was finished with a combination of the three different tiles used throughout the rest of the space.
We chose a bold brass light fixture in the water closet – a dramatic contrast to the dreamy floral wallpaper.
The walk-in closet was in dire need of more storage, so we installed a custom wardrobe and used the same brass hardware and added antiqued mirrors. Stunning!
To think this beautiful space was borne out of a near disaster! We love to make lemons into (pink!) lemonade!
