Corea Sotropa Interior Design Project Reveal _ Fortress Bay Media RoomThis was a fun space that we designed as a sophisticated teen hangout/family media room. The inspiration for the colour palette of the room actually came from an existing art piece from our clients collection. We were intrigued by the interesting combo and loved the pops of orange and decided to carry the bright colour throughout as fun accent pieces. Media-Room-Reveal-Fortress-Bay_Corea-Sotropa-Interior-Design2

The room has large vaulted ceilings, so in order to create a more cozy experience we decided to drape the back wall in floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall ripplefold drapery (which conveniently also helps with the sound).  A little secret about this wall is that there is actually no center split in the drapery because there is no window. This helps create a visually undisturbed ripple and the clients won’t ever need to open these drapes.

This room was a real mix of high/low from the Crate and Barrel sectional to the custom Kravet ottoman. You can never go wrong with custom pillows to tie the room together and we fell head over heels for this graphic Kelly Wearstler fabric.  The ultimate goal for this room was to create a cozy spot to relax, watch movies and play video games. We love how it all came together and with an eclectic combo of rustic and refined!
