Alanna joined our team in 2012 and we simply can’t remember a time without her! One has to look no further than her own beautifully curated Instagram feed to understand that she eats, sleeps, and breathes all things design!
Her love of travel, architecture, food, entertaining, and interiors all inspire her work. The keen instincts she has developed help to keep our firm and our clients a step ahead by discerning fad from trend, ensuring our clients the fresh yet timeless interiors we have become known for. Alanna’s eye for detail is integral to the additional role she plays in the marketing and public relations initiatives of Reena Sotropa In House Design Group. Her aesthetic and voice are interwoven in the fabric of the firm and her commitment is evident in everything she touches.
Alanna is a tile enthusiast, always holding onto a cache of special tile samples, for future projects still to be designed. We are very proud of Alanna and are so happy to see examples of her beautiful work featured in major design publications. Her first home, a tiny condo in Calgary’s inner-city was featured in Canadian House and Home Magazine. Alanna’s current abode, a 1912 heritage home that she shares with her husband Ryan and their one-eyed cat Tatertot, is well on its way to the same remarkable outcome as they painstakingly renovate each room back to studs.
