Slide the bar to reveal the transformation!
While we were busy renovating the other bathrooms in the house, our clients were quickly discovering that this downstairs bathroom was much too cramped and that the shower was too small. It wasn’t long before they added this bathroom to the to-renovate list.
We made a few tweaks to the floor plan to double the size of the shower to create this dream shower!
Our favourite design detail in this space was the shower tile pattern. This parquet style detail is a great way to make use of an inexpensive subway tile – giving you a big bang for your buck! We opted to forgo a built-in-bench so that we didn’t interrupt the tile pattern in the shower and instead we sourced a freestanding teak bench to accommodate the space.
We kept the existing floor tile and added a new vanity that was built specifically for this space. We were able to have it made slightly larger than it was previously to add some much-needed storage for our clients.
We chose a dramatic marble for the vanity counter surface and paired it with the graphic geometric tile pattern to bring this bathroom makeover together!
